IHR is NOT state funded - but run from donations from individuals, businesses, fundraising and adoptions. IHR has limited volunteers and no paid employees - there are times we are called out by law enforcement or animal control to help on investigations to evaluate or confiscate animals. We are short volunteers but we are working as hard and as fast as we can. If you have not heard back from us within 5 -7 days, please call or e-mail again.
IHR exists solely on donations. IHR is an all Volunteer organization, so EVERY dollar donated goes to help the horses. IHR, alone, has taken in over 200 horses in 2007 and dozens more will be coming our way as the winter season comes upon us. Many of these horses are in need of immediate medical care, farrier attention, vaccinations, dewormer and lots of food. Rescue horses are healthier and happier because of your continued support!
