Joey
Joey is a very special permanent resident.

Shakti

Shakti lived his whole life with a very special lady named Sharon.  We met Sharon when she came to us to donate another horse in need that she had rescued.  She was terminally ill and loved all her horses, but knew that stallion needed a place that could care for him after she was gone.  We became close friends and after she passed away we were asked to take in this very special boy.  He was her baby and will never be neglected or abused.  We are honored to be able to care for him in her memory.

Prayer

Prayer is broke to drive and is used for going to schools, educational purposes and doing parades for IHR and Club HOPE.  Prayer also loves attention, but loves pulling a cart as he loves having a job!

Thank You Jacki C.!

Preacher

Preacher is also broke to drive!  He is also taken to schools, projects and parades - the children are much less afraid of a smaller horse!  Preacher is used for IHR and Club HOPE activities.  Preacher is very much a social butterfly!  He loves to get attention, loved and brushed - he will hog all the attention.

Thank You Jacki C.!

Fugit
Fugit is a very special horse as he has a heart murmur.

Thank You Kathryn C.!

Cricket
She is used for training & testing new volunteers and of course - the occasional fun!!

Rusty
This boy may be blind, but don't let that fool you!

Thank You Kelsey C.!

Won't you help the horses?
Can you help by sponsoring one of us?

Each of the horses below is a permanent resident for one reason or another.  Many for health reasons, they may have been abused to the point it takes a lot to work with them, or they could be blind and have special needs.  Each one is used at the rescue for education.  We enjoy working with schools, groups, any type of group that wants to help with animals even if it from a distance.  You too can help, even if you want to do it from home!

The dogs are friendly so don't let their barking scare you when you come to visit!

Anything will help!  A bag a feed, a bale of hay, a tube of de-wormer?  As a sponsor, you will get a picture of me and a certificate showing you are a Sponsor.  As a rescue facility, we get a lot of older horses and special needs horses that people just can't care for anymore.  Any donation, no matter how small goes directly to the care and feeding of rescue horses.

All work is done on a volunteer basis.
