Ryder is a very special Standardbred gelding.
He came to IHR from a severe neglect case. He has since recovered from a
horrible leg injury and is now an ambassador at IHR. He was once a race
horse, but you would never know it. His gentle disposition has made him
a deeply loved companion and teacher at Indiana Horse Rescue. He is used
in parades, to teach green horses how to behave on trails, and to help
new volunteers gain confidence under saddle.
Special Thank you to the
United States
Trotting Association for their donation towards his care!
They have a wonderful program that helps Standardbred ex-race horses
that have fallen through the cracks and were neglected/abandoned/abused!
