Ace

01/26/07
Ace is a 14 year old Appendix Quarter Horse gelding. He is a very big sweetheart! Ace is very well broke and has been used for trail riding, general western riding, and barrel racing. Ace leads very well, picks up his feet, loads well, and ties perfectly. He is a wonderful horse, but Ace is going blind. Currently he is completely blind in his left eye, he has moon blindness in his right eye and will eventually go completely blind in his right eye. Ace responds very well to people and does not spook easily. He needs a person who will take the time to teach him vocal commands and form a strong bond with him before he goes completely blind. Many people believe that you can not ride blind horses and that they should be euthanized. This is not the case with Ace, he is very intelligent and is adjusting to his blindness really well. He is still able to be ridden, his rider must realize that they are Ace's eyes and pay attention
to Ace's special needs.

Ace's adoption fee is $250.00 to the right home!
