UPDATE!
10/21/07
What an amazing horse! Derby LOVES people and LOVES attention. He will
stand forever to be groomed. The trainers worked with him today, no
problems with anything chiropractically. We think maybe one of his pasture buddies
kicked him the last time they wanted to work him, so that is probably
why he appeared a little stiff. Derby did wonderful for the trainers! He
took the saddle and bit with no problems. He had no issue with a rider
and responded pretty good. This boy must have had training in the
past... he just needs some time and a couple more refresher courses and
he'll make an awesome mount. Right now he needs an experienced rider to
work him and remind him of certain cues under saddle. He is definitely a
special horse!

Derby is a very sweet boy. He is blind in the right eye, but has
adjusted to the blindness really well. He doesn't spook at all on his
blind side. He has been castrated and behaves nicely around other
horses. The trainers have worked with him. He did great on basic ground
work, but they did not do any saddle work because of possible
chiropractic issues, which we are still evaluating.

Before any of these horses are available for adoption, they will be up
to date on vaccinations, hooves trimmed, current on deworming and
castrated if they are stud colts or stallions.
We do not have a lot of information on these horses at this time, but
hope to be able to give you more information as we learn their
personalities.
