IHR Central put a volunteer
on Flash and both horse and rider had a great time. Flash was ridden
with a halter and two leads under saddle. He lunged well both left and
right with only the tail of the lead to get him started. After he
warmed up under lunge, we put the volunteer on him and turned them
loose. Flash moved beautifully and responded well to reining. He
backed well, handled reining patterns and stopped easily. Flash was
eager to go and very collected in his movements. We look forward to
working more with Flash and know he will make someone a great pony.
Tyler who is the one riding is 5'4" 103lbs. |

This is the
information we received on Flash!
Flash is a
little chestnut gelding, 13.0 h, 13 y/o, 100 % healthy, sound, etc. - he
is a pony that has done a little of everything, he's an incredible mover
and a great jumper too. Friendly, easy to catch, no bad habits -
extremely willing, loves to work and is pretty much tireless. His issue
is that he is too forward for most kids, he has a great stop but it has
to be from your seat. He is never naughty - no buck, spook, etc., but
he is just forward and most riders want to keep pulling on his mouth -
then he just gets a little quicker and quicker. He loves to jump, very
bold will go over anything with any rider, would make a good little
jumper pony. He is a very competitive games pony, but he is also a pony
that is bored to death in the paddock if he is not ridden regularly. He
looks for you every time you open the door, hates it when you get
another horse and not him! Flash needs a rider that isn't nervous with
a really forward pony! |
