Volunteering at Indiana Horse Rescue
Work out in the fresh air and do some heavy lifting.
Do something good for your health and for the horses!
Click here for a story about
IHR SW and its beginning!
We currently need experienced individuals who can help with fundraising, grant writing, or who have mechanical skills. As always, we need help with barn chores and farm work seven days a week,
year round. Volunteers generally help with barn chores and feeding from
8 am - 9 pm each day, so there are plenty of opportunities to lend a hand!
Indiana Horse Rescue enlists the skills, diligence and expertise of a large team of volunteers that devote their time to
feeding and grooming the horses, and cleaning stalls. As well as being responsible for the daily tasks of caring for the horses, volunteers work together in all areas of the organization – including fundraising, special events, education services, adoption placement and facility maintenance.
Horse experience is not
necessary to become a volunteer at Indiana Horse Rescue.
IHR welcomes volunteers with varying degrees of experience.
