Andrè

Andre is doing great! He is having fun just being a horse. He loves to run through the pasture but is calm when you go into the pasture with him. He seems to enjoy being scratched but he doesn't really like his legs touched. The more you ask him to pick them up the better he does, but if you don't ask him for awhile he will be stubborn again the next time he is asked to pick them up. Andre is definitely a special boy. We will be working on getting him some saddle time in the near future so check back soon for more updates on his progress!!

One of our volunteers has been working with Andrè. He is doing really well and takes a saddle and bridle with ease. We will be working with him more in the upcoming weeks on getting a rider on him and getting him some saddle time!

Andrè was playing in the snow this morning, so I decided to get some pictures! I hope you all enjoy them!

Andrè is an 8 year old Paso Fino gelding. He is very easy going and gets along well with other horses. He is not broke to ride, however his previous owner did tell us that he will allow you to sit on him and normally stays very calm. He leads well, ties, stands for the farrier and clips. He was treated for Laminitis in 2006, but seems to have recovered well from that. He also had colic surgery as a 2 year old. This boy needs a forever home where he will be loved and get all the attention he deserves!
