Jewel

March 2012
Jewel is doing very well with her training. She takes a saddle and rider very well. She is ridden in a halter and reins with no bit. Jewel neck reins well most of the time and backs up really well. On 3/14/2012 she was ridden outside of our arena. She was ridden alone on a light trail along side our barn and did wonderful. She seems to get better and better with each ride. Not only is this gal beautiful, she has the willingness and intelligence to learn!

January 2012
Jewel was ridden again on 1/25/2012. This little lady gets better and better each time she is ridden and remembers what she learned from her previous training sessions. She was worked both on the ground and under saddle.

December 2011
Jewel has been worked with by our staff. She is a smart and spirited mare. She picks up all of her hooves and will lunge in both directions. Jewel was ridden for the first time at IHR 12/14/2011. She accepts a saddle and a rider with ease. She is on her way to being an awesome mount. At this stage of Jewel's training she needs a confident and experienced rider that can offer her patience as she continues to learn under saddle. She was ridden in an arena setting with a western saddle and a halter with reins attached.

August 2011
Jewel is an Adult Grade Mare and boy is she a beauty. She is unsure of new surroundings and took a couple days to settle into the barn routines. Jewel was part an impound situation. We don't know much about her other than someone who knew her said she had been started under saddle but was VERY green. Please check back as we learn more about her!
