Katie has been outside a lot recently! She isn't quite sure what to think of it. She sometimes is goofy and playful and other times is ready to come back in. Katie is over her "shy" period and is just such a good girl. She now trusts people to touch down her legs and even pick up her front feet. Katie took a bridle and a saddle with no problems but we have not yet tested her with a rider yet. She has gotten even better with her lunging and is making great progress!

Katie has been a really hard horse to get close to. She had been badly traumatized by her previous owner and was just terrified of people. Our volunteers have spent hours upon hours trying to gain her trust and teach her love and we have finally gotten through to her. Katie now will lead with out fear. She likes to be brushed and loved on as well as massaged. She doesn't like to be patted, it still scares her, but rubbing her is just fine. She has learned to lunge and does it quiet well. This girl just needs some extra time and patience. She has a heart of gold, hidden under a tough exterior.

Before any of these horses are available for adoption, they will be up to date on vaccinations, hooves trimmed, current on deworming and castrated if they are stud colts or stallions.

We do not have a lot of information on these horses at this time, but hope to be able to give you more information as we learn their personalities.
