Murphy is a 7 year old 15.3 gelding, who broke to ride and is said to be very soft in the mouth. He needs an experienced rider due to his racing history. He hasn't offered to kick or buck he hasn't had a lot of general riding time. He is currently not cleared for riding as he is lame at the trot due to a leg injury to right rear stifle. It is expected with time off that he will fully recover.

He is what I would call a "pocket horse." He loves to be loved. He is usually the low man on the totem pole with the other horses and very passive. His adoptive home needs to have one or two other agreeable horses that he can buddy up with so that he won't be pushed around. He needs to have shoes on his front feet year round, without them his hooves break easily. Murphy is up to date on his shots and has a negative Coggins. Murphy may have been a racer but you would never know it by is disposition. He is a gentle boy looking for a family to love him. It is unknown whether he will fully recover from his injury so he may only be a light riding horse or a good pasture mate. Either way you would be lucky to have such a great boy as a new addition to your family!!!
