Peaches

PLEASE Use a fly mask on your horse.  They not only protect your horses eyes from flies, but also from the sun, and sunburn.  These pictures were taken 48 hours after Peaches arrived at the rescue.  Her eyes have been treated for 2 days and are still very inflamed.  She is being an excellent patient and loves being kept indoors.

Peaches is 13.3, approximately 1000 pounds and 20 years old.  She is in need of farrier work, but is said to be well broke by her previous owner.  She is very easy to handle and loves attention.

Peaches came to the rescue as her owner could no longer give her the care she needed.  We were told she had an eye infection, and after she arrived we realized that not only did she have an infection, she is probably totally blind.  We have her in the barn to keep her out of the sun and begin treatment for her eyes.  She is a beautiful mare with the best manners and is well broke.  We will update as we know more.
